What it includes

Our Early Years Skills Bootcamp programme is co-designed with employers' to upskill their employees. The programme will provide the learners with the knowledge and core skills needed to improve productivity and efficiency. In return, they will continue to have a positive impact on young people's lives, as they continue to work in a fun and fulfilling environment.

Upskill in Early Years

If you train an existing employee through Skills Bootcamps, you will need to make a small training cost contribution. Your employees may require time off for study and classes, depending on course flexibility and work hours.

Skill Development and Assessment Methods

The curriculum equips learners with Level-3 and 4-aligned technical and behavioural competencies including:

  • Advanced child development theory and age-specific pedagogy

  • Observation, documentation and assessment for learning

  • Inclusion and SEND practice, including Autism awareness

  • Safeguarding leadership and referral pathways

  • Team supervision, mentoring, rota and task delegation

  • Parental communication, setting culture, and wellbeing promotion

Curriculum Structure and Sequencing

The 9-week, 72-Guided Learning Hour (GLH) curriculum is structured into three-blocks:

Weeks 1–3: Core Practice and Pedagogical Frameworks

  • EYFS deep dive, age-appropriate planning, safeguarding protocols

  • Observation and formative assessment for learning

  • Parental communication and routine-setting across age groups

  • SAFEGAURDING TRAINING AND PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID

Weeks 4–6: Leadership and Inclusion Specialisms

  • Team supervision and staff communication

  • Autism and SEND strategies, managing transitions, setting ethos

  • Wellbeing frameworks and mental health scaffolding

Weeks 7–9: Reflective Leadership and Progression Planning

  • Professional standards, appraisal readiness, career coaching

  • Final project, action plan for promotion or job role extension

  • Tutor-led employer review and ILP closure
